the bucket plan. mitt romney will cap deductions at $17,000 for all americans. is that good for the middle class? do the math. for rich americans, the cap, it just might be lower than that. he was very vague on that point as well. the big problem with romney's bucket plan besides being hilarious is it would only cover $1 to $2 trillion of the $5 trillion tax cut. that's according to the tax policy center. they figured it out. even when romney gives specifics he doesn't answer the questions. e we still don't know how he plans to pay for the tax cuts without hurting the middle class. paul ryan is sticking to his reason for not giving any specifics to chris wallace on fox news. he said he had no time. >> i'm going to give you the time now to answer the question. >> when i start getting the numbers. >> that's right. >> ryan was given the time by bloomberg television. he had a new excuse for not being specific. he says mitt romney can't show congress all of his cards before he gets elected. >> you don't say to congress to democrats you want to work with, take it or leave it. it's all my

sympathizing with american enemies. back here at home, romney says the stimulus did not create a single job even though the budget office says it created as 3.3 million jobs. we got more. president obama raised taxes on the the middle class until last week when he slipped up and said president obama never raised taxes but will raise them soon. it was mitt romney who said let detroit go bankrupt. then he saw what happened after the automobile loan from the federal government saved 1.5 million american jobs and ohio's economy. and all of a sudden, mitt romney says the auto loan, that was just a good idea. and mitt romney says he will be the president for all americans. don't forget that. even though he was caught on tape saying he can never convince 47% of americans to take responsibility for themselves. this is why mitt romney can't be let off the hook in the debate tomorrow night. but it's hard to press him on these issues when he doesn't even answer the questions. here it is. >> what is the biggest misconception about you in the public debate right now? >> we'll have to create m

vietnam to die in his place. like mitt romney was. young american men had terrible choices to make in those days. protest the war or serve in the war. protest the draft or avoid the draft or flee the country or go to prison in defiance of the draft. going to war was not the only brave choice then. morally centered men made each one of those choices. the amorality of mitt romney's choice was something that i had never heard of. i disnot know that there was a single american man who publicly protested in favor of the war and protested in favor of the draft and then evaded that draft himself and then sat i'dly by, played in the sand of french beaches while expecting other young american men his age to go to vietnam in his place. mitt romney thinks of people taking veteran's benefits as deped dedapts on government. thinks of them as the takers. we could have had 48,000 more of those takers if they hadn't been killed in vietnam when mitt romney was playing on the beach. mr. romney was reminded of that today. reminded that he and his fathers and sons did not serve in the wars of their era.

americans the truth about what president obama calls romney's $5 trillion tax plan. darren gersh, tonight, looks at what the real impact of the romney tax plan could be on the american economy. >> reporter: here's where the president gets that $5 trillion number he used again today. governor romney's plan to cut tax rates by 20% would add up to about $5 trillion over ten years, assuming no other changes. but governor romney is planning to make other changes by eliminating tax deductions worth about the same amount. but the president is accurate when he says governor romney is making many promises in his tax plan. romney says upper-income people will not get a net tax cut; middle-income people will not see their taxes go up; incentives for savings and investment won't be touched; the estate tax and alternative minimum tax will be eliminated-- all this while cutting tax rates and not changing the amount of money the federal government brings in. an analysis by the tax policy center shows governor romney will have to make some big tradeoffs. >> so, governor romney has made five promises. he
